There is one guy I do not trust at all when it comes to delivering his tasks, no matter how much he wants to convince me that he can be trusted. And it's... me.
I believe that "monk mode" and similar features serve as a great antidote to distractions. At some point, I even ended up turning off the Wi-Fi in the apartment.
Thank you very much for sharing all these strategies, Anton!
It's great to understand the whole system behind your focus.
Those “boost your productivity” articles tend to be boring and nothing new/very general advice, but this one was actually straight to the points with good actual examples. Great job!
Just a heads up, the link for #4 of “Content I enjoyed this week” is not working for me on the mobile app at least.
Here's one thing that helped me optimize my life more than anything else: having a baby (6-month-old here). 😃
In our new routine, I have from 5:30 AM until 9:30 AM to do:
- quick meditation
- write (or work on an app, it depends),
- social media (includes setting up posts and checking my inbox, reading substack),
- train (weight training, running, or swimming lately, whatever I have scheduled)
if you add showering, making a coffee, and sometimes just staring out of your head, it's not a lot of time, but this is what I have to work with.
I usually work until 5 PM-6 PM, after it's dinner, shopping, some stuff around the house and there goes the day. Sometimes I can get in a little bit of reading between 9 and 10 PM :)
I think it depends on the riding environment - when I ride to work my way is through a park - no cars, no traffic lights, almost nobody else. I don't feel any risk in doing so, but it's of course a person taste too.
So many good life hacks in this post! I personally love combining healthy habits (e.g. going for a walk while I listed to a podcast). I also like simplifying many tasks and using my calendar to organize them. Great post!
Great article. I'm not as much a productivity freak as I used to be but I found a great rhythm. The one that people don't talk about enough is "Combine". That was my secret to do a ton of stuff during the pandemic - learn Spanish, listen to audiobook and go for a run. Turns out, you can do all three at once.

Thanks Michał! I haven't got to turning off the WiFi yet 😂

Thank you, I appreciate it!
And thanks for the heads up on the links - it was indeed broken for everyone, fixed. A great episode :)
Any suggestion for similar app like Roots for Android?
Unfortunately not :/
But I hope they'll create an Android version soon!
Nice article Anton.

Conclusion: babies are amazing 😃
I can definitely relate to that one! My last year was the most productive of my life :)
'Dad-mode' is powerful thing
A metaquestion: do we really want more than 24 hours! 😅
I already finish completely tired! 😂
Than the ‘And don’t forget to let go’ section is just for you 😂
I definitely think it’s not for everyone. Personally, I feel more energized and happy that way :)
Good tipsy though I'd be afraid to listen to something while rising a bike. I feel it makes it too easy to have an accident.
Thank you!

Thank you Suresh!
I have my ups and downs too, now I think I'm in the most productive stage 😅
Great combo you have there!
I loved this one.
Thanks Enock!
